Polina Shvanyukova is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Bergamo and Adjunct Lecturer in English Language at the Universities of Bergamo and of Milan. She holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Veliky Novgorod, Russia and a second Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages for International Communication from the University of Bergamo. She was a member of the European PhDnet programme “Literary and Cultural Studies” and completed her PhD under the Cotutelle agreement between the University of Bergamo and the International Graduate Center for the Study of Culture (GCSC) at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. Her main research interest focuses on the diachronic development of epistolary business discourse in English. Since 2016 she has been part of the editorial board as assistant editor at Token: A Journal of English Linguistics.
