Chiara Abbatantuono is a postgraduate student in Clinical Psychology (M.A.) at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. She attended MOOCs, seminars and workshops on Applied Linguistics and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Science. During her studies, she developed a keen interest in various interdisciplinary issues in the healthcare sector. She therefore structured her Master’s Thesis in Advanced Scientific English around patient care models, e-health providers, and lay-professional communication. Under the supervision of Professor Rosita Maglie, she took part in an academic study aimed at investigating multimedia health resources from an integrated, critical perspective. Original data resulting from multi-method and multimodal analyses of e-health services were presented, respectively, at the University of Bari (SIPP Conference 2018; 2018 Socially-oriented English Language Studies 2018), at the University of Poznań (YLMP 2018), and at the University of Salento (Specialised Discourse and Multimedia, 2019).
