Donatella Malavasi holds a Ph.D. in “Comparative Languages and Cultures” from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. At present, she holds a research position at the same university, where she currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in English Linguistics, Translation and English for Business Communication. Her research interests lie mainly in genre and discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, translation studies, and specialized communication. She has presented papers at national and international conferences, and has contributed essays to periodicals and edited volumes. Her contributions focus on a range of linguistic aspects of business, financial and corporate communication, the construction of identity in marketing and economics research articles, and the analysis of key-words and phrases as effective interpretive clues to disciplinary peculiarities and epistemology.
