Patrizia Anesa is Associate Professor at the University of Bergamo and teaches courses in the field of English Language and Translation at the same university. She holds a Ph.D. in English Studies, with a specialization in professional communication. She is also a member of CERLIS and an Associate Editor of the IDEA project (International Dialects of English Archive). Her research interests lie mostly in the area of specialised discourse, with particular reference to legal language and courtroom communication. She is currently interested in the applications of Conversation Analysis in LSP and the investigation of knowledge asymmetries in expert-lay communication.
